The John F. Tierney Funeral Home has been serving Manchester and area communities since 1956.  John F. Tierney and Barbara C. Tierney, with help from many of their friends and members of the community, managed to build a successful family owned and operated Manchester business.  In 1973 their son, Thomas F. Tierney, became a licenced funeral director, slowly making the transition to become president of business.  Now, in 2004, Thomas J. Tierney will be joining his family in the business.
